• Design experts seem to all agree: natural, earthy tones are in for 2023! While wooden accents have been increasing in popularity over the past couple of years, design experts believe that rattan furniture is making a huge comeback this year thanks to the warm tones and functionality rattan brings to a room! Not ready for wicker furniture? Wicker baskets or side tables pair beautifully with houseplants and greenery.

• It is the year to mix up your style with personality-driven pieces that mean something to you. Go bold by trading “greige’ colored walls for an earthy terra cotta, or switch out your run-of-the-mill light fixtures for something with a little more pizazz. Don’t be afraid to run with it- among the top design searches trending on Pinterest, “Funky House Decor” is up 695%! 

Pocket Doors

• Pocket doors are a great way to maximize space in your home and can be used anywhere from the bathroom to the laundry room. They provide an open feeling to any area without taking up too much real estate, and they are easy to install and remove as needed. Put a modern twist by adding an arched doorway to your pocket door!

• Gone are the days of staged homes. Bring some livability and style into your room with mix and match textures. Woven fabrics, rugs, faux fur, thick knits, and other textiles instantly add flair and coziness to any living area or bedroom. 

Wallpaper/Statement walls in Bathrooms

• In the aftermath of COVID, many have traded their cubicles for an at home office. Spending so much time at home has people saying goodbye to boring walls and instead shifting towards exciting pops of color and fun wallpaper. Designers are predicting bold wallpapered bathrooms will be a hit this year, as the small space serves as the perfect pallet for design experimentation.
