Selling our house was a challenge most realtors ran from. We had tenants in the property and had our house on the market with a property management company. The tenants and the management company didn't get along. In fact, almost every scheduled showing there was a problem.
I decided to look for a "real" realtor to show and sell the house. I contacted a few realtors including one that sold me my current home; I explained my situation and the recommendation was made to take the house off the market and wait until my tenants moved out. This wasn't an option for me. The tenants moved out at the end of July. If you know real estate, you'd know this is peak season.
I went on Nextdoor and happened to see this guy responding to people recommending agents. I thought it was a little odd he had great feedback for all these other agents. I also noticed someone asked "what about you?". So I asked him if he was a realtor. He said yes and I scheduled an interview with him. I explained what my expectations were and he said he could meet them. I don't think it took more than five minutes and a look at my husband before I hired him. The fact that he was focused on solutions, great communicator, professional, and not afraid of challenges is what makes him a great realtor.
Once the house went on the market, he was able to work with the tenants and show the property day one. I never got a call about a problem with showing the house. Five days after the tenants moved out, we had an offer on the house. Even with the unexpected bumps found after the tenants moved out, we were ready to close on time.
Dean always remained professional and focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. I have bought four houses and sold three, now. Based off my experience with the sale of this house, I would definitely recommend Dean.
